RE: NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher
Please help to understand.
I have SLI with two Fermi card. As i understand enabling SLI mode must remove HDMI pixel clock limit and cobine it, hovewer it not happened... Also...even after PATCH i cant set 4k with 60hz. Only 30-40 is possible. 1. in sli mode pixel clock combined? (165+165, or 340+340 after patch?) What can be maximum in this mode? 600 possible? 2. Wich "CHIP" on video card answered for pixel clock? it is GPU or some other? 3. 4.2.2 or 4.2.0 is possible on fermi card? (it is surprise if not cause it was helpfull...) 4. it is possible to render 3d from nvidia and output from another card (nvidia\intel?) |

(02-02-2022 10:22 PM)mycop Wrote: Please help to understand.SLI does not combine the pixel clock. You need HDMI 2.0 or YCbCr 4:2:0 to get 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz. Fermi doesn't officially support more than 165 MHz pixel clock or YCbCr 4:2:0, so you're lucky if you can get 30 Hz. YCbCr 4:2:2 should be possible at supported TV resolutions such as 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz. The GPU is responsible for pixel clock limitations. Kepler could only do 540 MHz no matter what. I don't know of a way to render on one GPU and output to another other than cloning the desktop with another monitor, but that would limit the resolutions to what's available on the rendering GPU. |

RE: NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher
Sli have few modes. one of rhem is 3d sorround. it is possible to combine 3 monitors to one single and as you understand it may be huge. and more than even 4k. thats why i think that pixel clock combined. I supposed that removeing sli limit in patcher is exactly do what i need.
yes your right ycbcr should work but only 4.4.4 (or RGB) can be chosen. another driver limit? (CRU show allTV resolutions correct) |

Hey Toasty I have a Qnix Qx2710 Monitor and tried following your guide. However, when I try to custom change the resolution hertz I just get a black screen. Super noob on this stuff and tried searching the keywords about this but couldnt find a solution. Thank you so much.
Device name DESKTOP-9S3RN6U Processor Intel® Core i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb Windows 10 pro |

There is a single: HDMI, VGA, DVI port What I did: 1. downloaded the nvlddmkm-patcher - 1.4.14.zip 2. ran the nvlddmkm-patcher.exe file (success) 3. then used the qnix.inf file for the "generic PnP Monitor" in device manager. 4. Open Nvidia control panel and tried trying different hertz in custom resolution settings but goes to black screen each time. ***Also noticed today that in my "events" tab for the Qnix2710 monitor properties it keeps saying "Device did not migrate" Thank you for taking the time to help out. |

RE: NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher
Hello ToastyX! Thank you for this project, this has helped me overclock my graphics display tablet for 2 years now. However, I do believe the patcher needs to be updated, as it no longer works on the latest NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers, specifically 516.40. I was able to push the monitor up to 75Hz from 60Hz, but the new driver locks the display to 60Hz now. Thank you very much!
