Uninstalling the monitor in Device Manager and rebooting will reset the monitor back to default. Using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) also resets all monitors.

If you were to create two or more resolutions (say 1920 by 1080) with different refresh rates using CRU, would they show up as duplicates when trying to change your resolution using Windows Display Settings (in the drop-down menu, you will see multiple 1920 by 1080 options) or will there be no duplicates but multiple resolutions would be available in Advanced Display Settings?

0 would mean unspecified, so leave it blank.

Windows will not list duplicate resolutions. Refresh rates are listed separately in the advanced display settings.

Once a new resolution with higher hz has been created with cru, do I have to set "nvidia color settings" and "output dynamic range" to maximum in the nvidia control panel? Because it seems to me that after activating the new resolution the color is already at maximum even if in the nvidia control panel I leave it on "default color settings".

I am sporting a Vizio P65-C1 and have been trying to follow this old guide from a few years back: https://www.reddit.com/r/VizioTV/comment...5_4k_60hz/

Another instance of it has been posted to https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments...pc_gaming/ by the same person.

Following the guide hasn't been difficult, but once I am done adding the 3840x2160p60 rez/refresh back in, the Pixel clock is inevitably far greater than the max 370 the display can handle.

The key line in the guide I see is: "SMPTE 4k at 60hz 422 8bit is 396mhz pixel clock > 370mhz max on HDMI 5. But VESA (aka PC) 4k at 60hz 422 is 356mhz pixel clock."

However, no matter what I pick on the Detailed resolution screen drop down, the pixel clock never drops below the 500s. I assume the guide writer was using a much older version of CRU, as he refers to the currently defunct LCD REDUCED option; however both 'replacements' per the patch notes do not seem to fill the niche he is specifying is possible here.

Was there some magical set of numbers here that get 3840x2160x60 to that 356 clock rate at 4:2:2? I have yet to even get any 4k60 to show up in NVCP, let alone try to pick a chroma for it.
I wish that guy would have exported his settings and shared it . . .

CRU has always shown the pixel clock rate as pixels per second, but 396/370/356 refers to the equivalent bandwidth when taking into account the reduced chroma, which is 2/3 * the pixels per second for 4:2:2, so what they really mean is 594/555/534 MHz. For 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz specifically, "Automatic (PC)" is equivalent to the old "LCD reduced" option, which gives you 533.28 MHz (355.52 MHz equivalent).

3840x2160 @ 60 Hz should be available with YCbCr 4:2:0 without changing anything if you're using HDMI port 5 with UHD color enabled. If not, your GPU might be too old.

If the defaults are fine, then you don't need to change it, but the settings would also affect the other resolutions, so it depends if you want to change the settings for the other resolutions as well.

Every time I create a resolution under 1280x1080 (e.g. 1156x1080) it black screens me and says input not support. I have not checked if a height under 1080 works with a width under 1280.
I have a 144hz monitor (can over clock to 150hz but don't because it sometimes black screens me when using CRU)
GPU: Nvidia 1070
CPU: i7 7700

Another question can I use a resolution with Native (PC) timing without it changing the Color Format from RGB
