What do you mean by nothing seems to work? Describe what happens.

When i change the resolution to custom one, and press restart64 there is no custom resolution. i followed all the steps in the video i showed. also under extension blocks it says 2560x1440 @120hz instead of 2560x1440@165hz and detailed res is also 2560x1440 @144hz... when i have a 165hz monitor. all i want is to change the res to 2360x1440 @165hz. but it isn't working.

Is there a default extension block? Did you read the part about extension blocks in the first post?

You have to show me what you're doing.

1. i open cru and add the resolution i want 2360x1440 @ 165hz.
2. i delete all extension blocks
3. i delete all "standard resolutions"
4. i select none Established resolutions.
5. i click ok and do restart64. nothing changes
edit: when i enable overclock mode in my monitor what allows me to go to 180hz, and i put 2360x1440 @180hz in cru the numbers become red and can't set it to 180hz

here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5f3WDLG3K8&t=454s if you want to know that i do exactly

What GPU do you have? Are you using HDMI or DisplayPort? Can you export a file using CRU after making the changes and attach it here? Do that with 165 Hz first. For 180 Hz, you will need to use a DisplayID extension block.

I have an RTX 2060 and i am using displayport 1.4. After a lot of trying it worked, but not good i have tried every timing option, but the screen seems to be split screen or something. And when it works, i can't use display scaling. I can't sent pictures now sorry.
