RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I've been trying to get CRU working again on my PC, but for some reason, when I add a detailed resolution of any kind, mainly 2560x1080 at 80hz and/or freesync range 60-80, press ok then use the restart.exe, nothing gets applied.
This is a 5700 with a 5700XT bios applied. Driver version 21.1.1 AMD. Thanks. |

What monitor is this? Are you using DisplayPort or HDMI? |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I added some detailed resolutions with higher refresh rates in cru.exe, ran restart64.exe, and then checked the windows display settings but couldn't find the refresh rates. I tried restarting but that didn't do anything. I'm on an Dell xps 15 9500. Does it not work with laptop displays?
Edit: I also tried exporting to an exe but that didn't work either. My laptop has a gtx 1650 ti and an i7 10750H. |

Does it not work with laptop displays?EDID overrides are supposed to work with laptop displays, but I guess Intel broke something at some point or didn't implement it correctly for newer GPUs. The alternative method probably only works for external monitors. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello all.
I've been using CRU almost at a year and I need to say that is a great software, but I found one problem with my configuration: I recently bought an AOC CU34G2X/BK monitor, which is 3440 x 1440 resolution and has 144 hz of refresh rate. The thing is that I want to create a custom resolution (with another refresh rate, something like 140 hz) cause I'm experiencing some micro stuttering in games (like Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake) and I tried various possible solutions with negative results, but I saw one post on one guy posted that creating another refresh rate below the maximum of his monitor did work for him, so I want to try it too. The fact is, as you can see in the image, CRU is detecting my monitor with two differents refresh rates: 60 and 100, and the monitor is 144 hz (is connected to my GPU with the original Display Port that comes with the monitor, with which can reach 144 hz) and even Windows is detecting it as a 144 hz monitor as you can see in the image too... I can configure the games as 144 hz too. I tried to edit the resolutions and I can set it at 120 hz at maximum but I can't understand why is CRU detecting it as 100 hz monitor. I'm very confused with that, and I don't know if I misunderstanding something about CRU, so I need a little help with that. Thanks in advance. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi
My monitor is 1080 144hz and i changed its settings to be able to play Resident evil 4 on 60hz. However After changing the settings the screen became black and didn’t show anything, i was using my DisplayPort, then i removed it and pluged the HDMI and the screen worked but it is locked at 60hz and I can’t change it. I want my screen to be normal and reset it to the normal settings i had before installing the CRU, how i can do that ? And how can i make the display port work again ? I included a photo of my settings. Please help me Thanks a lot for the efforts and i will be a patreon soon ❤️ Does uninstalling the CRU solve the problem? |
