RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hope this isn’t a rule breach but just wanted to say, since you resolved my issue with the monitor, which now allows me to use DLSS and NIS correctly on games, I have been enjoying HZD, RE4R and Crysis Remastered maxed out!
Honestly, you and your tool have improved my gaming experience substantially and I sincerely appreciate it mate. Now back to some correctly scaled games ![]() |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I have an LG C2 Tv for my pc monitor. When I add custom resolutions through the nvcp, it won't let me use HDR when using the ultrawide function of the TV using 39=840x1600 or 3840x1080. Someone said I had to create the custom resolutions via CRU to correctly use HDR. For some reason using the nvcp won't let me use HDR after doing all of this.
So I ask you, what is the correct way to add two resolutions to my nvcp via CRU? I want to add 3840x1600 120 hertz then I want to add 3840x1080 120hertz. Apparently creating the resolutions through CRU will get HDR working instead of going through my nvcp. How do I do this in CRU? Thanks a bunch! |

Thanks everyone. |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I'm using a Lenovo ideapad slim 5 (Intel Iris Xe graphics card with the latest driver updates) with an HMDI to an LG 34WR50QC monitor (https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34wr50...-monitor).
No matter what I try, including CRU, I cant get windows to display the resolution of my monitor (3440 x 1440). Can someone help or run me through the step? Thanks. |

To clear some things out, the PC that died was my newer i7-6700K one, but I think there was a problem with the GA-Z170X-UD5 TH (rev. 1.0) motherboard, as it didn't see any videocard I would put in it, but it has powerful onboard graphics so I used it with no problem for 4K 60hz without videocard. The PC that has the 1050ti and that I use to get 8K is my old PC with Gigabyte with a AMD PhenomII X4 955. Now I have been tinkering a bit today and suddenly I got the 5120x2880 30hz working. So I made some progress here! But then it turned out the 7860x4320 was gone and the Nvidia control panel said the 7860x4320 was not supported by my monitor. Then when going into the system settings of the TV, I switched on the 'Game Mode' and restarted. And there was my 7860x4320 again, but the 5120x2880 was gone... So I think I'll keep on tinkering a bit more in the coming days and weeks, until I see some pattern emerging in this madness, and then I will come back to this thread. |
