The same is true if you add it as a detailed resolution, whether or not it's in extension blocks (regardless of the aspect ratio). According to ToastyX "Lower resolutions can be scaled up to the native resolution by enabling GPU scaling in the graphics driver's control panel, but higher resolutions won't be scaled down by the GPU. Higher resolutions will only work if the monitor can handle them. Laptop displays usually don't have scalers and can't display non-native resolutions without GPU scaling". I would also like to know how the mirrored line looks like. What's your current native resolution (not 2560x1440)? |

My native resolution is 2560x1440, and I’m trying to play stretch res using CRU I’m trying to reach 1800x1440 I add the resolution and change it and it actually stretches the image but like I said I got this mirrored line in the middle of the screen so I presume that my monitor cannot handle that resolution ? |

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I just registered this forum, its my first post, hope i dont break any rules, i have searched about on how to add a custom resolution of 960x540p 33Khz H-sync for my HD CRT that is 1080i capable through a hdmi to component transcoder from my pc, but havent found any info yet, does anyone know if a guide on how to get 960x540p 33Khz resolution compatible with hd crt´s exist? Or steps on how to make one with CRU? IM new to CRU, thanks a lot for your time

If the monitor can't display the resolution correctly, just use SRE and GPU scaling. Don't make simple things so complicated. |
