RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi everyone,

I tried to use this program, but when I set a new refresh rate and restarted I had a big problem.
My laptop wouldn't restart.
I know it was a dumb decision to use it with an IGPU and NVidea GPU.
Windows shows this error: "bad_system_config_info"
Tried to search it online, but couldn't anything to fix it.
And I can't load Windows in save mode.
There is a way to use command prompt, and tried to execute the "reset-all.exe".
But it hasn't the resources to execute it.

So is there a fix for this or a way to execute this in command prompt?

I'm using Windows 10 64x.

Thank you in advance.

Marenti

I have fixed it with this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKH0dGX4KeA
Sorry for taking your time if you were trying to look for a fix.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi, wondering if someone could possibly help me.

I recently purchased a Qnix QX2710, and I've been trying to set a custom resolution through CRU. No matter what I do, I can't get any custom resolution I set in CRU to show up in windows. I can set custom resolutions in NVCP, but I'm only able to hit 96hz stable with tightened timings ( GPU doesn't downclock). When I use the auto timings at 96hz I get a slight puprle haze on the left of the display when particular colours are displayed. I'd like to set some detailed resolutions in CRU, but this has not been possible thus far. I'm using a GTX 970 on Windows 10, with the 368.81 Nvdia drivers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Seems like some people are asking for help here, I will aswell.

How can I reset all settings that I added in CRU? I'm getting new 144hz monitor in 2 days so I don't need the boost to 75hz anymore, which means I don't need CRU unfortunetly Sad - currently im using Samsung SuncMaster 2233, changing to BENQ XL2411Z. gpu: asus radeon r9 270x

Any help will be very appreciated <3

edit: well, I should add this here aswell: I only have boost on 75hz while playing Counter-Strike on 800x600 and 1024x768 - any other resolutions are getting scaled weirdly. this stuff getting also weird on monitor resolution, when im changing from 60hz to 70hz/75hz the scaling is weird too. my settings on CRU (https://gyazo.com/09cdffd7cf9d541cbefacf24fc9ec290)

@ToastyX

I've refreshed Windows (easy way is to do the "Upgrade" not Refresh, you get all Programs + settings untouched)
And now i get as before CRU and all settings from It + my Custom CRT monitor driver also working (no Black screen login now)
All i need to do was Unistaling after refresh Drivers (Crimson 16.8.1) and its OK now.

Yeah cross tlak is the same Huh

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi there,

anny idea about CRU and HDMI Freesync?

I'v got an LG MP68VQ-P with a RX 480 on Windows 10 ( Crimson 16.7.3 ).

With CRU i try to edit the Freesync rage to 35 Hz - 75 Hz or 30 Hz - 75 Hz. CRU make the change but in the Crimson control center the driver still report 40 Hz - 75 Hz ( yes, after reboot the system ).

In game i still got 40 Hz - 75 Hz ( testet with the Nvidia G-Sync demo ).

CRU didn't support Freesync over HDMI yet?

Make sure "Include if slot available" is checked. The range limits should be listed in the detailed resolutions list. If that doesn't work, run reset-all.exe and then restart.exe. Then use MonInfo to save the "real-time" EDID for the monitor to a .bin file: http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm

Then post the file here so I can see if there's anything that needs to be done.

Did you make sure to choose the "Custom extension block" option? Did you patch the driver?
