Although when trying to use it with this monitor, the resolution doesn't show up in the "list all modes" area and ultimately doesn't let me use the resolution. I also noticed I can't input 360hz, the text turns red and doesn't let me confirm. Also 360hz doesn't show up in the extension block, another user said to check the display tab but there's nothing there. Considering returning the monitor, I have been getting stutters and FPS drops, I want to see if I can get this thing to stretched res to see if it fixes the stutters.

That's not something I can answer. You'll have to ask Intel support.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I'm trying to change the FreeSync/VRR range of my Gigabyte FI27Q to reduce brightness flickering (I have this issue and read that it can be eliminated or at least reduced by narrowing the FreeSync range).

My setup:
- Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q connected via DisplayPort to an
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 using
- Driver version 461.92 and
- CRU 1.5.1

The default range of this monitor is 48-165Hz. I want to set it to 82-165Hz, so this is what I did:

I saved it by clicking OK, after that I ran restart64.exe (I also tried using restart.exe a few times, it seems to do the same thing).

However, my custom FreeSync/VRR range is completely ignored, it still goes down to 48Hz instead of 82Hz (and anything in-between).

I tried:

- Using something other than 82Hz, i.e. 90Hz
- Using reset-all.exe, applying the change again and trying again
- Restarting
- Setting the 82-165Hz range in the HDMI 2.0 extension block as well (in addition to the "Edit..." button at the top)

But nothing worked so far.

The tool itself seems to work: I removed the native resolution of another monitor for testing purposes and indeed after restarting the monitor ran at a lower resolution. I reset after this however, as I don't want this change. I only want to change the FreeSync/VRR range of the FI27Q.

The FI27Q is officially "Gsync compatible".

Any idea what I can try? Any help would be appreciated Sleepy

My bad, I thought extension blocks were just for HDMI.

I removed the default extension block, added a new one, added the exact same "detailed resolution" as in the default block and added FreeSync Range to the data blocks with my desired 82-165Hz and now it works!

Thank you so much Smile I thought I read the first post carefully, seems like I skipped (or misunderstood) some parts.

Still doesn't really make sense to me Sad, I added a 1750x1080 360hz resolution in display 2.0 extension block? Also the "starting point DAT's" don't have a display port 2.0.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I am having a problem with an AMD 6900XT and a 4K TV.

Some games refuse my selected supported 2560x1440@120hz setting, and decide the run at the maximum EDID reported resolution (4K@60hz).

Using CRU to Delete resolutions on AMD doesn't work. One way I'm investigating to solve this, is to dump my TV EDID information, and create a custom inf file, and install that inf file in my monitor driver in windows..

This is 2021 and I am wondering if anyone have a better solution?
